Get Started
The CrossFit Hoover training methodology is unlike any other. We implement various tools to help our clients reach their fitness goals, from nutrition counseling to expert coaching on complex movements. Our program is comprised of Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, kettle bells and basic gymnastics type movements…we don’t do machines, and we don’t do gimmicks.
We focus our attention on being extraordinarily effective at coaching our clients to move efficiently to realize their athletic potential and achieve their fitness goals as quickly as possible. To ensure that all of our clients are provided with every opportunity to succeed, we require everyone who gets started to take the introduction to CrossFit.
INTRODUCTION TO CROSSFIT
CrossFit Hoover requires new members to take an Introductory Course before graduating into the group workouts. Our experience and the experience of other CrossFit gyms around the world is that, with rare exceptions, people who are new to CrossFit require a great deal of coaching in their first few weeks, and that our trainers cannot run group sessions and give new people the attention they need. We have learned the hard way that throwing brand new folks into the group workouts can be a recipe for confusion and disappointment. Our introductory courses are led by certified CrossFit trainers who also hold extensive degrees in other various personal training certificates.
If you think you should be excused from the requirement of the Intro class, please contact Shane. An example of someone who might be excused is a person moving to Hoover who has been a member at another CrossFit affiliate. Another is an athlete who can demonstrate competency in the exercises and movements that we use.
PRICING
We require clients to sign a 3-month contract at the minimum. We have a small, but committed community in our gym. The trainers are committed to each client and expect the same in return. Do not compare our prices to other gyms, we cannot be compared to any typical gym where you pay a flat fee to come in and use the equipment. We program your workouts for you, instruct movements daily, offer nutritional and programming advice if desired, and guide you through scaling and developments in your workouts every time you walk in the door. You cannot compare our group class prices to private training rates as you are in a group class and essentially are getting private training at the fraction of the cost. If you take full advantage of your membership, classes can run anywhere from $7.50/class to $15/class depending on what you sign up for. We believe each client gets every penny worth what they pay.
